Cruises from Vancouver, Canada

12 Dec 2011

Vancouver is a modern metropolis on the west coast of British Columbia, only 143 miles north of Seattle, Washington. It is also a major vacation cruise port that is served by a number of cruise lines including Holland America, Carnival, Norwegian Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean International.

The Alaskan cruises from Vancouver are one week in length and include stops in Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway.

There are also one-way trips northward to the Alaskan Panhandle that continue on to the port of Seward on the Kenai Peninsula. In addition to the popular Alaskan cruise vacations, Vancouver also has several vacation packages to Hawaii, operated by Holland America Lines. These are 16 or 17 days in length and make stops in Hilo, Honolulu and Maui before returning to Vancouver. These cruises are very similar to the ones originating in San Francisco, allowing travelers wishing to explore the Pacific Northwest to continue their vacation to the Aloha State.
